I do find this topic cool and interesting! but! heads up, this is a bit of a long post. I have a lot to say about this subject because I find it fascinating, but as to not flood others dashboards, I’m hiding it under a read more. I did use your ask to talk about my special interest, and it gets a bit verbose <3

TLDR; Bread clips are the hard plastic things at the opening of bread bags. There’s a whole website dedicated to classifying them. I’ve been collecting them for years and my favorite one has a little heart on it. I use them as a way to bond with my friends, but I also just like sorting mundane items into categories.

it’s been a few months so it’s healed since this picture was taken.

Anyway! Now I get to talk a little bit about the webpage for my baby. I am correct about all of these takes. Do not come after me for this.

They were categorized correctly, found in the Neartic Region, in a grocery aisle. They listed the state I found it in incorrectly, though. At the risk of doxing myself, all I will say is that it was not in Montana. A lot of what I put in the letter to them made it to the webpage, from the observance that the palps are sharp, to my favorite switching from the Quadratopalpus ilex to this one. Maybe this explains why some of the holotypes are lacking in information? But that’s beside the point. The point is! I love this.
